Some of the biggest value that sites like Amazon.com provide (aside from incredible traffic) is the handling of credit card or other funds processing (at a cost of course). We have considered and dabbled with a direct eCommerce site (we were the original owners of briteday.com until our registrar snafu’d on us), but too low traffic and greater order handling (which continues to be a problem with eBay) has made Amazon Marketplace a better focus.

However, we DO use PayPal which can handle the credit card/cash stuff for us. And, we will be making a certain amount of eBooks and/or services available. Also, we hope to offer some incentives like coupons and rebates. So, via PayPal this site will probably have some direct purchases available.
